PDF Master Privacy Policy

About this policy

This policy explains how the PDF Master Android app (package com.ssamiyal.pdfmaster), published by SAMIYAL Technologies ("SAMIYAL", "we", "us"), handles information.

In short: your documents, scans and signatures stay on your device. PDF Master has no accounts, and we do not run servers that receive your files. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects some device information as described below.

Your documents and files

• PDFs you open, edit, scan or create are processed only on your device. The app reads a file only when you choose it with Android's file picker, and saves only where you choose.
• Scanning: photos taken with the camera or picked from your gallery are processed on your device, kept in temporary storage while you scan, and deleted when you leave the scanner.
• Text recognition (OCR): runs entirely on your device with bundled language data. No text or images are uploaded.
• Signatures: if you choose "Remember on this device", one signature is stored in the app's private storage, which is excluded from backups. You can remove it from the signature pad at any time.
• The Recent list stores the names, sizes and page counts of files you opened, on your device only. You can clear it in Settings.
• Passwords for protected PDFs are kept in memory only while a file is open and are never stored.

We cannot see or access any of this.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

PDF Master is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the home and tools screens and an occasional full-screen ad after you finish saving, a tool or a scan. To show and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise ads, Google may collect and process information such as:

• Your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers
• Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Device and app information (for example, device model, operating system version, app version)
• Information about ads shown and your interactions with them

This information is collected by Google, not by us, and is handled under Google's Privacy Policy. Learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices: where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and the UK), PDF Master asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy settings for ads when it is available in your region. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android device settings.

Purchases (Google Play)

PDF Master offers PDF Master Premium, an optional one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks OCR, compression, password protection and signing. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details. Google Play tells the app which items your Google account owns, along with an order reference, so the app can unlock them and restore them after a reinstall. Google handles payment information under Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.

Permissions

• Camera (optional): only to photograph pages in Scan to PDF.
• Internet: only for ads and Google Play purchases. The app never sends your documents over the internet.

What we don't do

• We don't require an account or collect your name, email or phone number
• We don't sell your personal information
• We don't use analytics or crash-reporting services
• We don't upload your documents, scans or signatures

Children's privacy

PDF Master is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device. Files you saved elsewhere stay where you saved them, under your control.

Changes and contact
